Battery Care - Primary or Non-Rechargable Batteries
DO's
Do ensure that the
batteries are inserted in the proper position with
the positive (+) and negative (-) contacts on the
battery are connected to the proper contacts on the
equipment.
Do keep battery surfaces
as clean as possible.
Do replace batteries
with proper replacement batteries as described by
the manufacturers.
Do store batteries in
a dry and cool place at room temperature.
Do remove batteries
from equipment that will not be used for an extended
period of time.
DON'T's
Do not place batteries
near heat or fire and this may cause them to leak
or rupture.
Do not recharge primary
alkaline batteries.
If you have rechargeable alkaline batteries, only
charge in a specified charger. Do
not charge in a Nickel Metal Hydride or Nickel
Cadmium charger.
Always carry batteries in proper containers.
Do not carry loose in pockets or handbags as
coins, paperclips and other metal objects may damage
the battery.
Do not mix old batteries
with new or use different battery compositions. This
could result in damage to the batteries and result
in personal injury.
